Teddy Roosevelt Was Applauded For 50 Minutes At The Republican Convention Which Nominated Taft
Some wanted the outgoing president to run for a 3rd term, but he had promised not to. Taft was applauded for only 25 minutes.
The Democrats made sure to give William Jennings Bryan as much applause as Roosevelt got at their convention.
